PRICING

I have heard it all across the years that I have been tattooing. Everything from "Hey, Dragon Ball Z tattoos are so common now, so they should be like $100" all the way to "Oh he is in New York City so he must charge like $500 an hour or like $10,000 for a session or something" Which is just ridiculous.

So I'm here to clarify how my pricing works.

It's an infamously complicated question to all of us tattoo artists. The best way to describe it is kind of like asking, how much is a house? Well, while we can quote something extremely broad, it will really come down to things like where is the house located? How many bedrooms? Does it have a pool? Garage? Etc... The same logic can be applied to your new tattoo. Where on the body is it? How big will it be? How many characters are in it? Even down to things like an outer arm sleeve on someone who is 5ft tall vs 7ft tall are going to be drastically different in size.

While I don't actually tattoo by the hour, I try to stick around $200ish per hour with a 5 hour minimum for the day, and capping the price at roughly 11 hours (even if it take 14 hours, its still only 10 hours and most tattoos start at 1pm and go into the evening). As far as how long the tattoo actually takes, sometimes we are done at 7:00pm, sometimes we are done at 3:00am and beyond, as I try to do everything in a single session. So rather than just charge a larger flat day rate across the board to accommodate the drastic time differences, instead I have a few simple categories that the quotes will fall into, and I have some examples of those categories below. The estimates in the categories ARE NOT tied directly to the actual tattoo time because trying to keep track of breaks and random stoppages is a bit too complicated and creates anxiety over taking breaks.

Usually, I try to work within a reasonable budget (which is why I ask it in the inquiry form). The quotes I send out are mostly determined by how many characters you're doing, whether it's in a watercolor style or the clean style, and what part of the body its going on. The idea itself that we are doing can also play a factor into the piece.

But honestly, at the end of the day though, pricing can be changed and adjusted as needed. I just want to tattoo cool tattoos for cool people. So hopefully the categories below will help clear up any misconceptions about pricing that you have, and I hope we can work together on something awesome soon!

Shorter Day

These tattoos are easier to do so they don't take as long. A singular subject matter that doesn't take up the entire body part we are working on. These types of tattoos will fall into the smaller range. The clean ones still take 4 to 6 hours to complete depending on design complexity while watercolor ones tend to go a little quicker.

Price Range

$1000 - $1500

Normal Day

This is the category that most tattoos fall into. A singular character doing something awesome on either a calf or forearm. Also, just about any watercolor tattoo will fall into this category as they are easier to complete. These usually take 7 to 8 hours most of the time.

Price Range

$1500 - $1800

Longer Day

These are the big ones. The all day and into the nights ones. These are done in one shot, but they are a very long day. The Upper Arms and Large Thigh pieces fall into this category. Along with larger tattoos with multiple characters tend to fall into this as well. These big ones take anywhere from 9 to 12 hours most of the time.

Price Range

$1800 - $2300
