These tattoos are my favorite to do. They allow for a cleaner composition, a well guided focal point path, and allows the character to shine. It also allows us to have a bit more of the body showing, a bit more flow, and even use cool moves and elements such as fire, lighting and all the fun glowing bits. This is also the best way to ensure that your tattoo will be recognizable from across the room, and since the details are large enough, the tattoo will also age more gracefully.

These tattoos can also be done well, as long as there is enough space and a solid composition layout. It also helps a lot when the characters are more simple in design. Doing two simple Pokémon characters are a lot easier than two huge dragons with wings and tails and scales and horns and arms and legs etc. So there are plenty of options to do with two characters, we have to be a little strategic about it! It also can affect the pricing a bit as well since we are adding more lines, more colors, and more composition to the design.

These tattoos can be tricky. However, not impossible. I understand completely that we want to get all of our favorite things into a single tattoo, but it will come at the cost of an easily read composition. So if we are to attempt it, simplicity is key. Tattoos will feel more 'epic' when the characters are actually doing something in the piece. The more you try to fit into it, the less the characters are able to do, and the details of each subject matter get smaller and harder to read. So we have to make sure we are realistic about this approach and I will always suggest keeping it simple so that your tattoo can be readable over time. These pieces also take a lot longer than the average piece, so it will also bring the pricing up a bit. But as you can see, they can be awesome if done correctly!
